Many alliances have multiple stages of power depending on how many heroes on your board belong to that alliance. For example, if you were to collect two Heartless heroes, then all your enemies would suffer -5 Armor. If your board contains a certain number of heroes belonging to the same alliance, then you'll receive a passive bonus depending on the alliance.
